In Maharashtra, as per Section 16(c) and (e) of the Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act of 2017, it is indeed mandatory to provide compensatory leave and double wages if a worker is required to work on their weekly day off. When it comes to Compensatory Leave in Maharashtra, the rules are structured to ensure fair compensation for employees who have to work on their weekly off days. Here are the key points regarding Compensatory Leave in Maharashtra:

- Compensatory Leave should be granted within a specific period stipulated by the law after the employee has worked on a weekly off day.

- The number of Compensatory Leave days should be equivalent to the number of days worked on the weekly off day, and these leaves should be availed within the designated timeframe.

- Employers are required to maintain accurate records of Compensatory Leave availed by employees to ensure compliance with the law.

For detailed information and specific guidelines on Compensatory Leave under the Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act, it is advisable to refer directly to the official documentation or legal resources related to labor laws in Maharashtra.
