Dear Seniors,
I am working in a very good construction company, and the Chairman is also a nice guy. As the Manager HR, I am posted in Arunachal Pradesh, and my home is in Delhi. After ten months, I planned my leave for my sister's engagement with verbal and written approval and information shared with the Chairman, Director of Projects, General Manager, and my Immediate Reporting Manager.
During my leave, my Director of Projects sent me a termination letter and instructed me not to come to the office, not even to enter the office. Your F&F will be settled via email.
This was really like a bomb dropped on me. In my 10-month period, I have contributed many things to the company, such as the company website, company email IDs, recruitment process, coordination with the employees, and a proper mess system. I successfully conducted three events of Walk-in Interviews in Guwahati, Arunachal Pradesh, and Delhi, among many other things. After this incident, I spoke with my Chairman, and he said, "Amit, you don't worry. Please do your work at home, complete it, and join." Now I am feeling insulted. Rumors are spreading everywhere that this happened to me. My sister's marriage is near, and I can't leave the job. But I just want to teach that man a good lesson so that in the future, nobody suffers like this. Please help.
Regards.

Nothing to worry about. You go to the office and work as you used to. Behave normally and just dismiss this issue as a rumor. Start looking for another good job for yourself and move on as soon as you secure one. Reacting emotionally and trying to teach them a lesson may result in you losing your job. This could land you in new trouble.
Stay calm and regain your energy.

As you have mentioned in your query that after the incident you talked to your Chairman, and he told you to complete your work at home and join the company again, then that is good. Just do your work and rejoin the company as if nothing has happened. Everything will be alright. It happens often with everyone. Don't panic at the professional stage.

Thanks a lot, seniors. I will do the same as you all advised me, I promise. However, I am leaving with the insult in the company. Everybody is laughing behind my back, and even my co-workers are not giving me the respect I deserve. My sister's marriage is on April 18, and I am just waiting for that.
