Hello flasher,
Where are you located & what industry do you work in? And what is the reply when you enquire about the increment?
What was your Appraisal rating?
Unless you give ALL the relevant details, any suggestions given by the members will only be unrealistic.

1st Option :- Talk to your immediate boss and send him your performance appraisal files. Show him the growth you have given to the company since your inception.
2nd Option :- Look for an opportunity and join.
3rd Option :- Be happy with what you are getting.

Dear Flasher and tajsateesh,
I am sorry post that here. Anyway that is true this really a great site for all HR solutions. @Flasher
1 :- You should jug your performance according to Boss criteria area of salary increment.
2- If there is criteria of increment set by the Boss than Humbly request for the increment
3- You must be getting the increment.
Thanks

Hi, Flasher and Tajsateesh.
FYI- Flasher- As Saleem has quoted, checked with your manager and know about your metrics and primar KRA's, ensure that each and every month you meet your metrics and at the end of the appraisal you will have good rating and it will have a hike in the salary.
Thanks

Hi Flasher
Reference to your post, I can say, it all depends on your company, Seniors at this forum would like to know many points before they can advise. Please answer this questions.
What kind of management runs your company? is it :-
Single owner or partners ?
Shareholding Company ?
Does your Company have an HR department ?
Does your Company have an appraisal system in Place ? If yes, then what was the last appraisal like, what was your score, feedback outcome of the appraisal ?
When you signed employment offer of this company, does it have any clause on salary revision ?
Are you aware of your KRAs ? do you have Job Description of your roles and duties ?
I understand this are too many question asked, but once you will have answer to this questions, you will also get closer to the answer you are seeking.
Best Wishes

DEAR FLASHER
Your query / problem is how to get increment.
Every organization be it a foreign or indian has its own policy and procedure to give benefits and other fringe benefits to its employees. So far, policy of increment is concerned, it is usually given based on two fold criteria, namely, periodicity and proformance.
In fact, increment is the increase in the pay allowed after certain period. It is upto the management of an organization to decide that period it may be one year or three years . Usually it is given annually i.e. after every 12 months. In some orgnization particuarlly in govt one it is annual feature whereas in most of the organizations, increment is linked with performance. It is entirely governed by the productivity of an employee. The productivity of an employee is judged by the senior level manager or employee's immediate boss. Based on the productivity report, question (whether an employee is entitled to increment or not) and quantum of increment amount is decided.
So Mr Flasher, please cheak your management polcy pertaining to increment and I hope thereafter you will be able to understand why increment has not been given to you. In case, despite of the fact that you are eligible for increment , the magement is not giving you increment. You may write a representation to the mangement to draw their attention towards your grivance and even thereafter your grivance is not addressed, you may resort to the service law of that country or you may quite the organization whenever a better opportunity is available.
Thanks

hi.
you must make one report or excel MIS which include your all work from start to end and you must highlight major area of working. you must talk with Hr on this matter and if he asked about the work than show him the file which stating your job responsibilities and performance too. I think so it will be better way to start a communication with Hr for an increment.
