Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Well there are two ways through which people generally get into HR.
First: Working in recruitment agencies where no past experience in HR field is required. After some time, people switch to corporate HR.
Second: Do some PG diploma in HR. Then Start as a fresher.
In your case, since you anyways have 5 years work experience..... I am sure there must be some similarities between your admn role and HR activities in corporates. So I would suggest you to do some course or a diploma in HR and inbetween keep looking for a good oppurtunity in HR.
All the best!

hi,
Again i will tell that, HR is not only qualification constrain,
IF you have desire and deserving then sky is the limit. i am having assistant who is just SSC pass, but nobody can beat him in Labour Laws
He has so much profesiency, and he will definetly highlight one day.
so develop your interest.

Dear Virendra
I appreciate your comments on the subject.
I would like to add few more lines,
Earlier. the selection process was given much importance on soft skills & now a days the demand is more.
Hence, it will always better to upgrade & such academic certification will add higher value.

Priti,
after picking up requiste skills in HR, initially opt to work for a samll concern
advantage would be HR & admin guys are normally one for such a company. you would have a plus of admin knowledge and minus of hr skills. they can balance each other for the first few months. ther would be few people to challenge your work knowledge.
also you may hire an external agent to handle pf/esi affairs for a couple of thousands on monthly basis.

IGNOU has been rated best for its courseware in Asia region.
Symbiosis is also a good option.
There are two other places: if you are looking for better quality then pursue a PGD in labour laws from Indian Law Institute (demed university), PGD in HR from All India Mangament assocaition.
apart from that we have Indian society for training & development and India society for applied beahvioural sciences (top of the line counselling skillsets)
