The MIS report "its meance MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SERVICE

generally it is monthly to submit to the Head of the unit (Factory or

Establishment) the report should reach to the concern head from

all the department heads every month first week of the last month

particulars. The HR department has also submit their report. In our

organisation we usually submiting the formate is as under.

I thought MIS reporting is the name given to technology/processes ... & is not restrained to HR ...
It could be to report any aspecr of any functional area, more a form to gauge the metrics of an area...

Management - could be for --1. Sales & Marketing
2. Human Resource
3. Accounts & Finance
4. Stores & Materials
5. Operations etc.

Information- could be for --- 1. Daily leads / cold calls
2. Daily sales / recruitments / expenses
3. Employee database
4. Inventory / stocks etc.

System - is the systematic and organized compilation of all kinds of Data.

MIS format can be developed according to your need.
For example, lets talk of HR consultancy.

There are two areas of functions on daily basis - Recruitments and Business Development. In this case two MIS reports can be developed.

For Recruitment --

Hallo Mr Alamelu,

MIS for Finance are

1.Monthly report for Letter of Credit in this report one has to give like how many LC'S were opened during the month, Amount of LC, local and foreign,details of merchandise,Wheather LC IS DA or DP, Due date for LC ,LC paid on etc ect as per requirement of Head of the department.

2. Monthly report for Bill discounted with bank : Here in this MIS one can provide information like how many bills were discounted with the bank,if there are more than one bank than bank wise information,Due date for payment of bills,Date of purchase for bills discounted, Commission paid to Bank for bills discounted, Intrested charged by bank till due date, Details of other bank charges etc etc.

3. Monthly report for Bank operations: opening balance of all the bank, amount deposited during the month,Amount withdrawn for the month,closing balance,Detila for LC utlized and balance limit avilable for opening LC'S,same for bills discounting,In this statement only summary is given for the month,Bank Gurantee issued by Bank,etc etc.

With regards to Accounts

1.
List of Debtors and creditors as on month end
2.
Financial statement :- P & L account, Balance sheet.
3. Stock statement.
4. Statement of Taxes payable to Govt.
5. Major assets purchased list.
6. Debtors more than six month Old.
7.Sales and purchases Amount during he month.
8. Total production during the month

All above details depends upon size of organisation and also depends upon information required by management.
