I’m seeing lots of EPF related query and the answers from the experts of this community.

Hence I’d like to talk about my problem and would request genuine solution to my problem as I think I’m in trouble.

I earlier worked in an organization for 3 years and left and joined another organization(X) on 03rd October, 2016. Earlier I had UAN but they had generated a new one even after submitting the form 11 due to some system update or something like that as they have told me.

I resigned from there(X) after a month on 7th November, 2016 and joined another company(Y) on 10th November, 2016. However the previous company(X) didn’t accept my resignation till then.

After a week on 18th November I resigned from Y and joined back X on 28th November since they didn’t accept my resignation. X doesn’t know about Y. They internally showed me on leave and gave me full month’s salary of November and deducted and deposited the pf amount into the newly created UAN (by them in October after joining).

Meanwhile Y wants to give me salary for those 8-10 days I have worked with them. But I didn’t want that so didn’t send them the documents that they asked me to submit in order to do smooth exit. They contacted me till end of December and asked me to submit those documents for exit and f&f but I didn’t give them any documents as I was scared that this will lead to dual employment.

Since 1st January, company Y didn’t contact me, so I don’t know the status of this case now. But I guess they must have found out some ways to resolve it.

However I’m getting skeptical and worried about PF. Even if Y doesn’t give me salary at all they have to give me PF and they had already told me that in December. I filled up form 11 in company Y and told them I didn’t have a UAN earlier which was a lie, but I have given them Aadhar, Pan, Passport nos and all. Till November end they told me that they didn’t calculate the f&f as they will do that only after receiving the documents sent to me which I never sent to them in return after filling up. So that means they have not deposited my pf on or before 15th December which was the actual due date.

But I know being one of the largest companies and groups in India they will follow the statutory compliance and would give me the PF.

Now my question is how do I know whether they have given PF or not? And if they have which account did they credit it to? They have waited uptil December end and I’m afraid may be they have given the PF between 1st to 20th January. As per the form 11 that I had submitted if they tried to create a new UAN they will see that my PAN is already linked with another UAN which is the 2nd UAN which was created and linked by my present employer. And if company Y have linked and given the pf amount already in that 2nd UAN then company X will get untagged and they will come to know about this next month when they will try to upload ecr in the same UAN. And I’ll be terminated immediately.

On the other hand I still have the 1st UAN sitting idle with me. I can ask company X to use this UAN from next month onwards but company Y might know about this UAN as well because in my salary slips that I had submitted to them at the time of joining are having this UAN mentioned.

Can somebody please suggest me what should I do?

How do I know whether Company Y has already given pf at all or not and if yes where to and when?

They are not picking up my calls anymore as expected.

I know it’s a long story but I would be grateful if some experts or veterans in this field help me out with this mess that I myself have created.
