Dear Shilpa,
It is good that you are thinking to get yourself associated with a company where you think, you will get good working environment and a good culture.
As a rule, whenever you are confronted with a question in an interview as to why you are looking for a job change, never spew venom about your past organisation, no matter how bad was your experience with that company. As suggested above, you can cite any personal reason or you can also say that since the company was very small, I was not getting enough opportunity for my own development. This answer will also give interviewers a good reason to form that interviewee has bent for learning and is willing /inclined to learn and develop.

Ms Shilpa,
You have put yourself in such a position where you have to break your own belief for which you have resigned. Anyway learn to be practical, I can just say few words, that In India 90% Managements take HR just as Administration Department. So finding a company with real HRD Policies is not an easy thing. More over I am not even sure what do you means by HR Policies. The best thing is if you wish to change some thing fight from inside here fight means with your views and convince management about the benefits of good HR Policies. We are not living in a country like Australia where it's legal requirement to spend 2% of profit on Staff development (Education, Skill improvements etc) or pay to Government as additional Tax. So next time before leaving the Job please find a job.

Hello shilpa141982
The following points are clear .
1) How many months/ year, you were working with the organization?
2) In which field your are working?
3) How you left the job by submitting resignation or voluntarily abandoned your services?
Irrespective above info in general I would like to say that without having any job in hand how you dare to leave services. It reflects to immature behavior on your part. Definitely HR guy at the time of interview will ask you that why you left the organization? On this it is not advisable to say due to unsatisfactory HR policies of the organization. In addition to this it is not clear to me that how you judge employee satisfaction. It will be better to give advise on the basis of correct info.
Hope u understand my say in right perspective.

Hi Shilpa !

I guess you are around twentyfive plus/minus three years. You can go ahead in the interview and tell what you did not like specifically in the previous job in so far it is in specific terms and deeply embedded in that organisation's culture. For example reservation policy in Government organisartions or lack of transparency in the organisation's dealing with employees etc.Any Management expert knows that organisation culture cannot change overnight and can not be changed by one person. It's a long term exercise which can be taken up by the top management only.Take for example working of a public sector banks vis a vis private sector banks. The efficiency level of the latter is far better than that of the former.Speaking truth and calling 'spade a spade' sometimes helps. But at the same time you must display confidence that if the environment is right

you can deliver the best and make your team perform at a higher level .Remember that a junior level or middle level manager in a typical public sector enterprise CANNOT PERFORM BEYOND A CERTAIN DEGREE HOWSOEVER HE WANTS because of many archaic systems prevalent over there. All the best.
