Dear Sir,
Our factory is covered under E.S.I. Act. Some of employees have exceeded ESI wage limit i.e. Rs.15000/. These employees includes workmen, Supervisory Staff and Managerial Staff.

Whether these employees will be covered under employees' compensation Act. Is there any wage limit and exemption for managerial staff or Supervisory Staff or workmen.
Pl. clarify.

Dear Mr.Muralikrishna,
Instead of going for WC policy go for Group personal accident policy which is open for all and this coverage will be better than WC and accepted by all statutes.
If you want more information invite New india assurance etc people and obtain details and proceed. Even after that you feel WC is better then go for the same.
Thanks and regards - kamesh

Dear Sir,
Group personal accident policy for fixed amount only whereas under employee's compensation act claim will be depend upon age, salary and service
When we take group personal accident policy benefits should be better than EC act. Then how to take group policy to compensate EC claims.

Pl. advise.

Under the industrial employment standing order act, providing medical facilities to their employee is statutory requirement irrespective of the fact whether employye is contract employee, trainee or regular employee (getting more salary or less salary than 15000). As such company has to formulate medical policy for their all types of employees. If the policy formulated is better than ESi scheme it is okay else ESi act will be applicable. If nothing is there work men compensation act will apply.

Dear Sirs,
As per the workmen compensation act the employer need to pay the compensation to the employee and it is irrelavant for the labour department or any other statutory body whether the management is paying from their pocket / WC / group insurance and group insurance is a right option then WC policy.
Request other seniors to respond and update.
Thanks and regards - kamesh
