Dear Sir,I have a doubt in my mind. Plz clear it.In my Company, I had taken a report for the employees who are coming late to the office. As per process, i had submitted to the H.R. Manager in front of General Manager. What we supposed to do in case of continuos late coming we have to first issue the warning letter first and than seek for explanation. But my manager had not asked any body to issue a leeter to those employees but she is taking their written explanation. Is this practice is right legally or in terms of human resource.Plz suggest what to do.RegardsRanjeet

hi jeeni..
Untill n unless u wont issue a warning letter or show cause notice to the late commers u can not ask explanation letter, this case applies only when u see the law..
but when it is internal issues between the general manager and the staff, then he can ask for the explanation letter using his power...
this is from my knowlegde, if any one find mistake kindly let me know..
regards
vimal
