Dear all,
Could you share some information/websites/case studies (can be in the case of a particular country) on Human Resource Management/Development in the transitional economy? Problems/facing difficulties, reasons for the problems, progress, and any ideas to overcome these difficulties, etc.
Thanks

Hi Enke,
The problems/issues faced in a transitional economy from HR perspectives are:
1. Identifying new skill sets and training.
2. Dealing with old economy-bred staff who are generally not keen to make a change or learn new things. It's a serious issue for HR, and they need to have sensitivity.
3. PMS - Changing trends and systems.
4. Dealing with labor unions that are resistant to changes as they have their political agendas or for their survival.
5. Managing teams comprising new staff and old staff.
6. Salary issues.
7. Organizational culture to be in sync with changing times.
