Hello everyone.

At this point in my life, I am confused about what to do and what not to do. I am currently working as an Assistant HR Executive in a power plant. However, my qualification is in Engineering and not in MBA. I am interested in continuing in the HR field. My main responsibilities involve industrial matters such as labor licenses, workers' compensation policies, and dealing with subcontractors, among other things. I am also pursuing an MBA through distance learning. My plan is to gain two years of experience while completing my MBA, and then search for better opportunities with a more attractive package.

However, I am uncertain whether this path will shape my career correctly. I question if my thinking is practical, or if I should quit my job and opt for traditional courses. I am also curious about the effectiveness of distance learning compared to regular courses.

Hi Anu,

I am also pursuing an MBA through distance education and working as an HR professional. What you are doing right now is good. Consider the practical aspect - once you complete your MBA, you will have the option to continue in the HR field or explore other opportunities. Additionally, you will gain valuable experience. As for pay, it will increase with experience in any field. :)

Please let me know if you need any further assistance or advice.

Best regards, [Your Name]
