Hi,

Most organizations have three main types of leaves currently prevailing, but the details may vary from one organization to another:

1. Privilege leaves / Paid leaves / Earned leaves - 16
2. Casual leaves - 8
3. Sick leaves - 8

Among these leaves, casual and sick leaves can only be availed during the financial year, while Privilege leaves can be carried forward to the next financial year and can be encashed. In some companies, encashment occurs on a yearly basis, while in others, it happens only at the time of separation from the company.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

Dear friends,

My friends have given you a hint about the number of leaves. They have granted you leave as per their organization's policy. You are employed in a garment industry engaged in the manufacturing process.

According to the law, you must provide earned leave as per the Factories Act, which stipulates 1 leave for every 20 days worked, totaling a maximum of 15 in a year. Casual leaves are granted based on certified standing orders, typically around 7 per year. Please verify your standing orders to confirm the specific allowance.

Sick leaves are generally provided to employees who are not covered under ESI. The number of sick leaves granted is also outlined in the company's standing orders, usually around 10.

These are the minimum leaves that must be provided. However, if you wish to offer more, you can establish a separate leave policy for the company, but the allocation should not be less than the specified amounts.

Thank you.
