Hi,
I have completed my 6 months of experience in this company. I have taken 5 sick leaves. When will I be getting CL, PL, EL in this company? Also, what is the difference between CL, PL, and EL? Please help me understand this topic.
Please email me at mm_sheela@sify.com for further assistance.

Hi Santhosh,
Please tell me what is the difference between Earned Leave, Casual Leave, and Privilege Leave. Could you please explain these types of leaves and when the employee becomes eligible for them?

Hi Sheela,
Given below is the explanation:
Earned Leaves: These leaves will start only after completion of one year, and the basis is one leave for every 20 working days. You can say these are paid leaves. These leaves can be accumulated up to 45 days only.
Casual Leave: These leaves are unpaid and on an accrual basis, and the number of leaves allowed per calendar year is at management discretion. However, a minimum of 12 days per calendar year is allowed. You can avail of these leaves for reasons other than a sick condition.
Privilege Leave: This is equivalent to Earned leaves and is at management discretion.
The above explanation is based on my experience. If you feel this info is wrong, please suggest to me.
