How long should a company keep the records of an Ex employee?

Hi, In normal course it is advisable to maintain the Ex-Employee data for period of 3 to 5 years maximum. This may vary in case of any disciplinary action proceeding is pending against the employee.

It is necessary to keep the records of old employees for five years. The records of ex-employees can be kept in Digital form, if space is a problem for longer period.
