Yes, it is necessary. It should contain a photo, name, designation, employee ID number, department/place of posting, blood group, and contact number, along with the logo of the employer company. Many establishments incorporate these details in their magnetic access cards themselves. This practice ensures that only bona fide employees and other authorized persons will have access to the premises/workplaces. If the establishment is very small and employs only a handful of persons, there won't be such a need. It shall be the policy of the employer firm.
