No woman or young person shall, unaided by another person, lift, carry, or move by hand or head any material or tool exceeding the maximum limit prescribed.

- Adult male: 75 Kgs
- Adult female: 30 Kgs
- Adolescent male: 30 Kgs
- Adolescent female: 20 Kgs

Safety Officer: Appoint a Safety Officer where 1000 or more workers are employed.

Dear Karmaji,

Maharashtra Factories Rule 66 states that in any factory, no person shall, unaided by any other person or mechanical device, lift by hand or carry overhead, or over the back or shoulders, any material, article, tool, or appliance exceeding the maximum limit in weight set out in the following schedule:

a) Adult male - 55 Kgs.
b) Adult female - 30 Kgs.
c) Adolescent male - 30 Kgs.
d) Adolescent female - 20 Kgs.
e) Male Child - 16 Kgs.
f) Female Child - 13 Kgs.
