Employee engagement is not to be confused as engaging employees in some sort of fun and games or some diversionary activity to take away the pressure of work. Indeed, it is quite the opposite. Employee engagement would mean undertaking actions required to integrate employee efforts with the organizational goals, identification, or the emotional integration of employees with the organization one is working.

Though I understand that employee engagement is a broad term, the importance of fun, games, and celebration can't be dismissed. Indian corporate culture is entirely different from Western corporates, and so are the expectations of employees.
