Hi, I didn't transfer the PF amount from my previous company (Company A), which was for 3 years from 2013-2016. Now, I have resigned from my current company (Company B), and I am not working anywhere with no plans to join any company as I am starting a new venture. I want to withdraw the PF from both Company A and Company B.

Queries about PF Withdrawal

I have a few queries:

1. If I withdraw from Company A, will TDS be deducted?
2. If yes, then what is the process to avoid TDS?
3. If a transfer is required from Company A to Company B, what is the process as I am not a part of Company B now, and online transfer is not possible?

Please suggest.

Thanks

13 to 16 and 16 to 19... it exceeds 5 years, provided you have applied for a transfer. No TDS if a 5-year span is completed; however, there are hassles to file Form 10C unless the employee attains 58+ years of age.

No, you have to execute the transfer first, and then apply for withdrawal.

As per the new policy, the pension fund cannot be claimed unless the employee attains the age of 58 or above. The exceptions are a) permanent relocation abroad (documentation required) and b) death.

However, you can opt for TDS deduction by providing your PAN card and then claim the same in your ITR for a refund.

Feel free to proceed as you feel comfortable. In the current system, no claim is entertained without Aadhar verification, and in both accounts, you have to link the same.
