I joined a private engineering college in 1994 as a computer lab assistant. In 2017, all of a sudden, management shut down the college. My salary from January 2017 till date is still pending. I have not resigned or been terminated till date. My full and final are pending till today. What should I do now against my employer?

Dear Anonymous Friend,

Your private engineering college shut down in 2017. You have not mentioned the month. Your service is not terminated, nor have you resigned. You were paid until December 2016, and from thereon, no salary has been paid to you. Your claim is from January 2017 to date. You may not be the only employee who has not been paid salary, and there may be many other employees with similar salary claims from your college.

Advice on Legal Action

You are advised to unite and approach a good lawyer in your vicinity. Provide them with all the facts and figures and follow their advice. Your matter may have different dimensions under the ID Act, Payment of Wages Act, etc.
