I worked in a company for 2 months and resigned. They have registered for PF and ESIC. While joining a new company, can I start a new PF and ESIC account as the previous company will not provide UAN and IP numbers? Are there any issues in maintaining two accounts or any other ways to solve this?

Earlier, employees could make changes if they had problems with PF or wanted to withdraw the PF amount before joining a new company. Now, all PF-related documents are linked with the Aadhaar card. You can also create a new PF account without affecting your old one. However, as you mentioned, you worked only for 2 months. If you continue with the same PF account here, your service time will increase, which can be beneficial for your pension. You can ask your old employer for the UAN number; they are required to provide it to you, or you can find it on your payslip.
