One of my colleagues has ESIC. He is staying with his grandparents along with his younger brother (no parents). Now he wants to add his grandparents and brother to ESIC as dependents. Is it possible? Please confirm.

Dear Abhiram,
Under Clause 6A of Section 2 of the ESI Act, it states that a "dependant" means any of the relatives of a deceased insured person, namely a minor brother or an unmarried sister or a widowed sister, if a minor, and a paternal grandparent if no parent of the insured person is alive.
