I am working in the HR Department, dealing with PF & ESIC of our company. We all know that in the case of the death of a member, their family members receive financial benefits. I would like to know if a member receives any benefits under PF or ESIC when their dependents (such as a spouse, child, or dependent parents) pass away.
If yes, I would be grateful if anybody could provide me with the clause reference.

Please do not muddle up between the IP (insured person/member) and their dependents. As per the Labour Act under Section 81, dependents receive the benefits.
Notice for Dependents' Benefit
On receipt of a claim or claims for dependents' benefit in respect of the death of an insured person, and after making necessary inquiries about the circumstances and cause of death, as well as about all persons who may be entitled to dependents' benefit, the appropriate Regional Office shall issue, by registered post, to such other persons, if any, who appear on inquiry to be entitled to dependents' benefit and who have not yet submitted a claim for such benefit, a notice for the submission of claims for dependents' benefit within a period of 30 days from the date of such notice. The notice shall indicate, inter alia, the relevant provisions of the Act and regulations and the procedure for the submission of a claim for dependents' benefit.
Therefore, a copy of the Benefits in a death case by Labour Law is attached for your knowledge and comprehension.
