I am currently working in a private school and I want to move to a different school.

My notice period related paragraph in the offer letter says, "Your notice period, in case you choose to leave the school, stands at 3 months or equivalent salary. This is applicable in either way, and therefore, the school would also need to give you 3 months' notice or salary."

I resigned in April, and based on days, my 90 days' notice period is set to complete in the beginning of July. However, there is a one-month summer vacation in June.

So, my employer is asking me to serve until July, which would be a total of four months. Now, I have the following questions:

1. Is it okay to serve my employer until July, which is more than 90 days?
2. Will I receive a salary for the month of June? (Normally, summer vacation is paid)
3. If I serve the entire notice period, will I receive a salary for the full notice serving period?

See if you, being in ordinary service, get paid leave in the summer vacation, then you will not require to serve, as paid leaves are part of the contract, and you will get those leaves while being in the notice period. But, read the contract carefully and see if there is any clause excluding the above facts. If not, then you have to serve until July.
