Hi, I had worked in a company for more than one year, and my PF was deducted from my salary. At the time of resignation, I didn't withdraw my PF amount. Later on, in my new company, a new PF account number was generated. The status of the PF number is showing an inoperative account.
So, I would like to know if it is possible for me to transfer the previous PF amount to the current PF number, or can I withdraw my PF amount through the regular procedure of Form 19? Kindly advise me on what I can do.
Thanks & Regards,

Linking Your UAN to a New PF Account
In the current scenario, your old employer must have generated a UAN number. You should provide that number to your new employer, who will link it to your new PF account. Alternatively, you can link your previous employer's PF account by activating your UAN number and listing your previous PF numbers or member IDs.

Since you mentioned that it is an inoperative account, then the account is older than 3 years. So, a UAN number would not have been generated for that account during that period.
Transferring PF to a New Account
To transfer the PF to a new account, you can visit the inoperative account helpdesk available in all PF Offices. Also, an online inoperative account helpdesk is available on the EPF Portal. Please make use of it.
Withdrawing PF Amount
If you want to withdraw the PF amount, apply through the previous employer with Form 19 along with a request letter to the PF Office for withdrawal typed/written on a 20 rupees Bond Paper. Don't forget to mention the valid reason for not (or delay in) withdrawing that account till date in that letter.
