You can assign the same PF ID to him when he rejoins. The member ID corresponding to any area can be found on the official website of the EPFO. For that, the information required includes the state, district, and the area PIN code.

Hi, while the PF UAN number will remain the same until retirement, the PF ID/number should be newly allotted, and the same number cannot be reassigned. The PF number should be a running number. However, if the employee proceeds on a break in service, once they resume, they can continue with the same PF number.
