Good day, everyone. I am so scared to ask for legal advice on my situation right now, but I am tired of feeling guilty and sorry for myself. I was working as a housemaid here in Dubai. However, due to a very bad situation, I made a very bad decision and ran away from my employer. I have been absent for a year now. I got my passport, so I'm working part-time here in Dubai. I did well at my job, and I really enjoy working here. A bit because I am just part-time, I always end up finishing the job that I like. I am tired of it and wish to be a legal worker here in Dubai. I am a good employee for all the jobs I am working. I want to ask if I still have a chance to be a legal citizen here in Dubai. Please advise me and free me from my guilt and nightmares. Thank you.

As per my understanding, as long as you have proper documentation, you can work and stay in Dubai. However, there needs to be a check if your employer hasn't filed any legal or missing case against you. You need to check with an established and trustworthy agent who can help in this regard. I will be able to check on it from my end and can share the details soon.
