Hi! I am a new member of the forum. I would like to know what the concrete differences are in managing payroll and post-payroll activities for a low-level employee compared to managing the same activities for an executive or higher-level employee. Is there more complexity in the latter case? Could the price of the payslip be higher? Are there perhaps more rigid SLAs? Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the response. However, I am not referring to the qualifications required, but rather the entire process. For example, does producing an executive payslip cost more in terms of time and price than managing payroll for low-level employees?
Thank you in advance.

Differences in Managing Payroll for Executives vs. Lower-Level Employees
I am asking about the differences between the two processes: managing payroll for executives and managing payroll for lower-level employees. Often in Italy, these two processes are considered separately. The trend is to outsource employee payroll activities while managing in-house those activities related to executives. Differences exist in terms of complexity, SLA, time, accuracy, and level of care.
Thanks again. I hope I have been clearer.

Ok, I understand what you are asking. However, the details and answer will depend on your local laws. There is not much difference in India as such. The law and payroll processes remain mostly the same. The structure is different for both types, and at times, for the executives, there is a component of variable pay. One difference probably stems from the fact that the payroll of executives is more sensitive (confidentiality of rates), and they are less tolerant of mistakes in their payroll. In addition, they are fewer in number and can be managed easily by the in-house HR team.
