I am Shadab from Internshala (Internship, Summer Internship, Summer Training for students | Internshala), an internship portal. Lately, we have been receiving feedback from employers (who recruit interns through Internshala) that many of the candidates are not joining even after confirming offers. This is, of course, a very serious problem. Could anyone suggest a way to address this issue? And how can we ensure that a particular candidate will join or not?
Many thanks!

Dear Shadab, I think you should start investigate the REASONS of not joining internship. I think the result will help you to sort out this issue Regards

Thank you very much for the advice. There are various reasons:
1. Change in plan
2. Landing a better opportunity
3. Providing false information (e.g., many claim they will be available when they are not)
When they do not show up, employers call and write to them, but they do not respond!
Thanks.

When you are aware of the reasons, did you address the same to the employer? Secondly, why don't you take corrective steps to avoid the above-mentioned reasons, such as by taking an undertaking that the candidate should not back out, and no last-minute change in plans is allowed?
