Hi,
My problem is that I have more than 5 years of experience in the HR field because the first 3 years I was working as an executive assistant to the director in an HR consulting firm and then was promoted to research associate. I recently joined another company as an HR executive 4 months ago. Here, I am in charge of training and development, but mostly do psychometric profiling. I have completed my MBA in HR from IGNOU this year.
I want to change jobs because I am not gaining any experience in core HR, but most of the companies are looking for either freshers or very experienced people. What should I do because the money offered to me is less than what I am currently earning?
Regards,
Anu

Dear Ainu,
In response to your mail, I am not clear on your previous experience. I would like to know how confident you are on labor laws, government rules, and regulations regarding statutory compliance. If you are well-versed in these areas, transitioning into your HR interests should not be that difficult. Please do reply regarding your knowledge of labor laws.

Hi Sai,
Actually, I have more experience in training and development, workshops such as mentoring, assessment centers, and psychometric assessments. In the consulting domain, I have assisted senior personnel in formulating HR policies and manuals based on the company's previous manual, needs, and organizational competencies. However, I do not possess an in-depth knowledge of labor laws. I am proficient in performance appraisals, interviews, exit interviews, and cultural assessments.
Thanks and regards,
Anu
