Guidance on Maintaining Data in Form D

Please guide on how to maintain the data in Form D as required under the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976, including its frequency for updating, etc.

An early response would be highly appreciated.

You have to fill Form D once a year or whenever there is a change in Basic or DA. Mention the category of worker and their common slab salary. When there is a change in the wage, you can update the same in the register. The importance of Form D is to show there is no discrimination between male and female workers in all cadres.

Form D Filling Guidance

I am still confused about how to fill the Form D columns correctly:

• Should each employee (both male and female) fill out the form individually?

• If not, how should we indicate the category of work for female workers in various roles such as Security, Production Engineering, Production, Design, etc.?

• Whose allowances should be included in the rate of remuneration paid?

• What amount should be listed as basic wages? Should it be the average salary of all employees (both male and female separately)?

Please advise.

Thank you,
