Hi,

Based on the company policies, you should prepare the salary headings, and payslips should be prepared accordingly. Regarding the update of Excel sheets, are you specifying for PF or for what purpose? If it is for PF purposes, there are lots of discussions in the following links:
- [New PF ECR file format Excel sheet](https://www.citehr.com/400714-new-pf-ecr-fiel-format-excel-sheet.html)
- [EPFO employer e-sewa data uploading guidelines](https://www.citehr.com/401322-epfo-employer-e-sewa-data-uploading-guidelines.html)
- [ECR EPF](https://www.citehr.com/400979-ecr-epf.html)
and more.

If you need any more clarifications, please do reach out to me.

Hi,

I have recently started as an HR Executive in a new IT firm. I am the only one in the HR Dept here, so there is no one to supervise or guide me. Recently, I was asked to prepare the salary slips of the employees. I was confused whether to include my signature (On behalf of HR Dept.) or the Founder's signature (as he is the sole superior in the firm) in the salary slip, or to not include anyone's.

Can anyone please tell me if the signature of the employer or relevant authority is necessary to be included in a Salary Slip?

Hi Swati Even I do understand your issues. It is better show the payslips to your founder and ask his suggestion. It is better to follow his suggestion.

Hi Swati,

Nowadays, in large organizations, it is not possible for the authorized signatory to sign all the payslips. I hope you have never seen a few payslips stating "This is a computer-generated payslip, and no signatory is required." The same statement should be added at the end of the payslip and printed.

My kind advice is that whatever you are doing, it is advisable to seek permission from the founder.
