Compensation and Benefits for Winning an Illegal Employment Termination Case
The award will specify the compensation and damages to be paid to you. It can include either reinstatement with back wages and service benefits. If a settlement is reached, an amount equal to 15 days' salary for every year of service, along with notice pay as provided for retrenchment under the ID Act, shall be the minimum compensation.

Thank you, Madhu T.K. After 15.5 years of service, terminated in 2004 on false grounds of poor performance, I approached the labor court. The decision given in 2010 stated that my duties are of managerial cadre based on subordinate staff leave application recommendations, gate pass signatures, and appraisal form signatures. The labor court ruled that this case cannot be continued in this court. I then approached local government authorities, i.e., the collector's office, and registered my complaint in the citizen forum and national portal. The response received was that the case is in progress, and I will be informed later.
Please guide me on what steps to take next.

Responsibility to Prove Employment Status
The onus to prove that you were employed as a worker rests solely with you. Therefore, any evidence you submit can be subject to scrutiny. Even obtaining authorization to sign a gate pass may pose a challenge, as only an authorized person can do so. Given that the verdict is pending, please proceed accordingly.
