You're quite right. A binary type of test is more efficient compared to the typical multiple-choice format commonly used in testing. Choices are limited to what is commonly perceived as correct, providing a clear distinction between the right answer and multiple "guesses" facilitated through the process of elimination. This method can either confuse or give hints to the test taker.
