A phone call should be enough to explain your situation, which can be followed up with a formal resignation letter. All other formalities will have to be taken care of by the employer. There is no need for any apprehension about the PF settlement.

Dear all,

After completion of two months from the date of resignation, one can withdraw their deposit amounts from both EPF and EPS together with interest. After completing nine years and six months of service, one can withdraw their deposit amount from EPF only. The EPS amount cannot be withdrawn. Pension can be drawn after reaching the age of 58.
