Subject: Re: Training & Development PPT

This is a great and insightful contribution. Can someone shed some light on the fact that the trend now is to refer to it as Learning and Development rather than Training & Development? Some argue that training is for your current job or tasks while learning is a lifelong endeavor.

Dear Mohana,

This is an excellent document I have ever received. You have made the lives of some of us revisit the way we have been determining the training needs in our organization. Simply put, I can say it is perfect. Keep sending.

Very nice and useful information.

Could somebody help me in providing the institutions that offer courses on IT Support & Product Training? This is the requirement I have received from my senior directors, and they want me to inquire about it and create a document. Our company is located in Pune. If anybody knows such details, please email me at bhavnak@pkmpl.com.

I need your guidance and assistance.

Thanks & regards,

The word "Training" has been outdated for over a decade now as more responsibility and ownership have been placed on individuals. Traditional training was when a trainer stood in front of an audience and "told" them stuff.

Learning can be done without a trainer, for example, through coaching, mentoring, shadowing, experimenting, e-learning, reading manuals, web searches, and more.
