Is Ambedkar Jayanti a mandatory holiday? If not, there is no need to mention it in our holiday list. I asked our top management about this, and they informed me that we can include it as a holiday in our list but it is not necessary to give this day off to our employees. According to labor law, we should mention this holiday in our holiday list. I would like to know if there is any specific mention of this in our labor law. If we do not include it in our holiday list, would there be any issues?

First, examine under which of the enactments you are required to allow holidays to your workers/employees and then see which are the mandatory holidays under that particular Act to get the answer.
