Hi Friends,

Can you please guide me through the various steps involved in deciding the salary increment for employees? I need your valuable advice on how usual IT companies decide on their salary increment duration (period) and performance appraisal. What is the usual rate of increment in IT companies, especially in Cochin, Kerala?

Thanks in advance,

Sujith usually receives salary hikes in IT firms based on his performance. The normal performance appraisal is conducted, analyzing the expected performance of the employee and comparing it to their current performance. A specific tab is set for the salary hike, which varies among different firms, and the increase is determined accordingly.

Hope this information is helpful.

Hi peoplesdg,

I really appreciate your comments regarding this. I know that the salary hike varies from company to company and from employee to employee based on their performance, but I was looking for a standard (minimum) percentage of increase that is offered to employees annually, regardless of their performance.

So, if there are some undefined standards for the same, could you please provide me with some comments on this?

Thanks once again for your prompt response and valuable comments.

Regards,
Sujith
