Meeting/discussion within four walls is quite different compared to speaking in front of known/unknown individuals. My recent experience on two or three occasions was that all words/info/messages etc. vanished from memory. I have been advised that chunking/voice modulation is also crucial as I progress up the corporate ladder, as well as capturing attention and avoiding boring speeches. I firmly believe in more practice and structured learning and seek advice on how to overcome these challenges.

Dear Rajagopal,
For this, you need to take training on presentation skills. Public speaking skills are the soul of presentation skills. I do conduct training on presentation skills. In one of my batches, the participants experienced a significant change. It was well discernible to outsiders as well. You can click [here](http://www.divshare.com/download/6512968-b0b) to read their emails.
Please confirm how we can proceed. By the way, to inform you about my training activities, I have attached my Training e-Brochures to this post.
Thanks,

Dear Mr. Rajagopal,
Greetings.
Let me give you some useful tips for public speaking.
In one press meet, Churchill was asked about preparation for public speaking. He mentioned that for a 3-hour speech, he takes 30 minutes for preparation. Similarly, for a 3-minute speech, he spends at least 3 hours preparing. He likened this process to making a movie, where the longer speech is like a full feature film with different elements like comedy, action, and romance. On the other hand, a 3-minute speech is akin to a short advertisement that needs to quickly capture the audience's attention and deliver the message concisely.
Another important aspect to consider when preparing a speech is the audience. It is crucial to tailor your speech based on the audience's education level, interests, and the subject matter being discussed. One should adjust their speech style accordingly, whether addressing a formal gathering like an IAS/IPS Officer conference or a more casual setting like an election meeting.
To overcome the fear of public speaking (F.E.A.R - False Evidence Appearing Real), it is recommended to seek permission from the organizer or chairperson before beginning your speech. Approach the stage with a smile, greet the audience (Good Morning Friends/Good Afternoon Comrades/Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen), and start with a light-hearted anecdote to engage the audience from the start. Capturing the audience's attention within the first 30 seconds of your speech is key to delivering a successful presentation.
I hope you find the above tips helpful.

If you have the fear of public speaking, you are not alone. You must first recognize what “fear” is. Fear is the anticipation of pain. Is your fear real or imagined?
Here are some great insights into Overcoming Fear of Public Speaking.
Steps to Overcome Fear of Public Speaking -
1. Fears – The fear of being judged, making a mistake, not measuring up, getting hurt either mentally or physically can get in the way of a good performance (speech, seminar, sales presentation, etc). Remember that people in the audience really want you to succeed. Nobody is standing there hoping you’ll be boring or bad. If you are coming from an authentic place, and you cover the material with clarity, you’ve won 3/4 of your inner battle with fear.
2. Learn how to enroll and engage your audience - If you haven’t yet taken a professional development course on public speaking, consider finding a public speaking training course appropriate for your needs. Learning the art of public speaking can enhance your results in a boardroom, in a sales presentation, and even accelerate your climb up the corporate ladder. It is a must-skill for any executive and/or business owner.
3. Practice - Find business organizations, networks and clubs in your area (such as Toastmasters) that can afford you the opportunity to practice. Remember to choose topics that you are already an expert on. Speaking on a topic that you are not familiar with will increase your stress, and impede on your performance.
4. Use recording software - Record everything on your PC/laptop. Review it to see where you can improve. Have speaking pros attend your live presentation to give you feedback. Allow yourself the opportunity to learn more every time you go out.
5. Remember, even the top professionals learn something new every single time they go out!
