Hi Everyone, I need to give a speech on any subject for approximately 2 minutes. Could you please suggest some interesting topics? In case you have any content that would be helpful, I hope you will help me out.

The topic you choose to deliver a speech on must be relevant to the audience. If your audience consists of your colleagues, speaking about who will become the prime minister or giving beauty tips will not be beneficial. Instead, opt for general subjects such as Goal Setting, Public Speaking, Personality Development, Motivation, etc., as these topics are useful for any type of audience.
However, if you are addressing your Management Team, select a subject related to your specialization and practice it before the delivery. This way, you will be prepared to answer any questions raised by your managerial team members.
Thank you.

You have asked about a random subject without providing clarity or background information. What is the scope of this 2-minute speech? What is the purpose? Who is the audience? What is the subject area? Only with this information can someone assist you effectively.

First of all, thanks for replying. Sorry for not putting my question in detail. I'm in a public speaking course where everyone needs to prepare for a two-minute speech, and that should be approximately 2 minutes. Since we are all friends, we are focusing on something motivational, inspirational, and so on. This is not a presentation; it's just a speech in front of everyone. So if possible, could you please give me some handy speech? I was thinking of Arvind Kejriwal; however, I have very little time to prepare. If anyone has some speeches, please provide them. It would be really kind of you.

Guidelines for Effective Public Speaking
Please do not repeat what others have given you in writing. First of all, you must learn what public speaking is. It is not just about the subject you have to speak on, but the subject you have to learn.
• You should not have fear in your mind when you see the crowd or audience.
• You must have confidence in the subject you have selected to speak about.
• The first and foremost thing you have to do is seek permission from your instructor before speaking. This is good manners.
• Before starting to speak to the public, look into the eyes of the audience with confidence and give a salutation, for example, "Very Good Morning Friends," or whatever you prefer.
• Start with a small story related to the subject you have chosen (the story can be 30 to 45 minutes long).
• Since this is public speaking, do not use any classroom tools like a writing board, chart display, or any other tools.
• When finishing the speech, close with a punch statement or the moral of the speech.
Wish you all the best.

Thanks boss2966, however, most of the tips you shared are known to me, and some were really new. I thank you once again for that.

You may choose the following topics:
1. Who is a Professional? How just having more significant experience in a job role does not necessarily make one a professional, and why a professional never loses touch with the basics of the job.
2. The Difference Between Setting a Definite Goal and Working Passionately The difference between doing work by setting a definite goal to achieve something and doing work passionately.
3. The Importance of Skill Upgradation Why one needs to upgrade their skills every day and not just focus on the job they are handling.
4. Bringing Positive Changes How you have brought about positive changes in your life and the lives of others - provide 2-3 examples.

I have followed this thread with interest. Usually, I do not respond to questions such as yours, which do not give enough details of the person raising it and/or the reason for asking the question. Responding to such questions wastes a lot of time in providing general answers rather than giving precise solutions.
People have given you a lot of ideas. You say you do not have much time and, hence, you are looking for a ready-made speech for 2 minutes. We all have 24 hours per day and 7 days per week, and how we use it determines how effective we are in Time Management. You can take this as the topic if you wish. A topic that you choose should be one that you feel very passionate about. I feel passionate about this topic and have given a presentation to managers once.
I also feel passionate about Plagiarism and, hence, I have got involved at CiteHR. Another topic that I feel passionate about is explaining the difference between "Qualified" and "Educated." Many people of my parents' generation were not qualified but were highly educated. We have a number of qualified people now as there are many colleges and universities awarding Diplomas and Post-graduate degrees. However, it is sad to say that some of the products from these can be classified as uneducated from their behavior and actions.
So, I suggest that you kindly pick a topic of your passion, write the speech, and post it here to seek feedback to improve it. If you do not like to post it in the general forum, drop a private message, and seniors will be willing to give their email ID.
Regards.

You can explore the topic "Public Speaking" itself. You can present your viewpoint on what public speaking is, how one can execute it, the phobias that may arise when speaking in public, and how to overcome them. In the end, you can mention that these are your observations and views. No one is perfect, but it is understood that public speaking is an art that some possess naturally, while others have to work hard to develop it. Consider yourself fortunate that you can address a highly educated and expert audience.
This is just my input for your query. If I were in your position, I would approach it like this. Seniors, please correct me if I am mistaken.
