Hi All,
I want to know what kind of daily and monthly reports you should submit to the GM if you report directly to the GM. I am an HR executive, and I report directly to the GM. I want to design some creative reports and for that, I need help from all of you. Please help me and give me some new ideas. I am waiting for your best replies as usual.

Hi Varsha,
My name is Amit Seth, and I work for an IT company.
There are various types of reports that you can send to your GM:
1. Weekly Attendance: You can send this report in an Excel sheet to show the absenteeism rate in your office.
2. Monthly Reports: For the monthly report, you should prepare an Excel file with multiple sheets organized as follows:
- Basedata: Personal details of all current employees
- Salary Structure: Details of the salary structure for all current employees
- New Joinees: Information on new employees of the month including their salary structure and other details
- Resigned Employees: Details of resigned employees such as date of joining, date of resignation, and other necessary information for Full & Final settlement
- Attrition rate along with a comparison graph to the previous month
3. Additionally, you can send weekly reports summarizing your activities over the last 7 days.
You can also include other informative reports related to HR activities in the office.
For any queries, you can email me at amitmhrm@sify.com.
Regards,
Amit Seth.

Hi Varsha,
It's my pleasure. Regarding motivational initiatives, you can select the list of employees whose birthdays fall in a particular month. Then, on the weekend of that month, you may arrange a small meeting to discuss motivational issues. During the meeting, call out the names of the employees celebrating their birthdays and ask them to cut a cake. Prior to the meeting, ensure you have arranged for a cake size suitable for the number of employees attending.
Additionally, during this meeting, you can also award the Employee of the Month. This can be done by presenting a trophy and a certificate. Before finalizing the recipient, create a list of employees in consultation with their seniors. Rate the employees based on these discussions, and consider adding management remarks to the evaluation. Identify the employee with the highest rating as the Employee of the Month.
These initiatives can be implemented on a low budget. Start with these steps and later introduce new ideas.
Stay in touch.

Hi Varsha,
Good morning,
Once again, it's my pleasure. How was your experience with the B-Day celebration?
Another suggestion is to announce new joiners through email and by posting printed notices in the common room. This practice can motivate employees from their first day. I hope you are already implementing this, but I thought of mentioning it.
You can also reach me at amitmhrm@sify.com.
