Dear Ron,

Heat Stress

I am an authorized OSHA trainer from the Ministry of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, United States of America. I am attaching the PowerPoint we use for training, and I am sure that you will get the guidelines from this. If you require more information, please mention it, and I may be able to help.

When you feel any of the employees are going through heat stress, the first step is to move them to a cooler and calm area. Symptoms of heat stress vary, such as heat cramps, heat rash, heat stroke, and heat exhaustion.

Managing Employee Heat Stress

As an organization, you should allow employees to take their own time to adjust to the surroundings. Heavier and challenging tasks should be assigned during the cooler times of the day, like late evenings. During afternoons, when the heat is at its worst, simpler tasks should be assigned. You should also periodically check on employees to identify those who are suffering from symptoms and try to provide medical help as soon as possible.

Dear Kesav Sir, Thank you very much for your PPT. It has been very helpful in conducting training for our employees. As you may know, I am currently in Africa where summer begins at the end of March and lasts until August. The weather here is very hot, and we have started conducting special heat stress training for our employees. Unfortunately, I received this thread late. I apologize for the delay.

Dear Ansarisamir, Thank you for your input.
