In my opinion, you can put in place a system of marking attendance on their systems, i.e., they would have to mark attendance by switching on their systems. This way you can track their daily time of attendance.
Further, you can put in place a daily reporting system to track what they have done during the day. The report should cover their targets, actual achievements, and the cumulative performance for the period. I think this should be helpful to you.
