Me and my female friend work in a bank together. We are not only good colleagues, but we also have good family terms and we both were intending to get engaged soon. However, a misunderstanding took place, and we fought in the office premises. I slapped my friend in the office, which got recorded on office cameras as well. Management intervened and compelled my female colleague to write a complaint letter against me to the higher officials. The wording of the letter that my female colleague submitted to the management as they insisted is as follows:
The branch Manager _______________
SUBJECT: INCIDENT DATED: ____AUG, 2008
Respected Sir,
I would like to draw your attention to the subject cited above. I cleared my ACCA paper on ______Aug, 2008, and hence I decided to treat my friends. With permission from my mother, I invited my friends (myself and another female colleague) for lunch.
As far as this branch is concerned, I had very good terms with Amina (the other female colleague who was going for lunch with us) and Alamzeb (myself). Amina is known to me since my university days, while I got to know Alamzeb in Askari Bank for more than a year now. Keeping in view my good relations with both of them and with due permission from my mother, I decided to treat them. We planned to go for lunch on ____Aug, 2008; however, Amina and I could not make it due to excessive workload, and the program got canceled. This was communicated to Alamzeb; however, upon his return to the bank, he misbehaved with me.
Alamzeb is not only known to my family members, but I also had good working relations with him and we always worked in a cordial environment. His actions are condemnable, and he has violated office rules and regulations.
I am serving the bank with a lot of respect, integrity, sincerity, and a professional approach. I belong to a respectable family and am facing this situation with a lot of difficulty and tension. I, therefore, request you not to create more hype around this issue and to resolve it as soon as possible.
Keeping in mind my and my family's respect, I would appreciate it if this matter is not escalated to higher officials. Nevertheless, if it does escalate, I hope it is treated with leniency as Alamzeb deeply regrets it and has apologized to me and the higher officials many times for breaking office discipline. Please handle the matter with due diligence promptly.
Regards,

Don't take it hard, buddy. But you're a fool whatever might be. How could you slap her in the office? You should be ashamed of this act. You say you're engaged, yet how could you take this physical step? Don't you have any understanding? I'm sorry, but I have no inputs from my side. I'm disheartened to see these issues happening in workplaces and personal lives too.

I presume, since your friend, to whom you had slapped, has already forgiven you and requested the management not to take any action against you, you are lucky. Still, for violating office discipline, the management, if thinks so, may ask you for a show cause notice. Then, you may be required to submit a proper reply with an assurance that no such incident will be repeated in the future.

As you slapped her in office before to all, like this way you must be apologize before to all in office. This is the solution of this problem Purshottam Saini

Hello Alamzeb... I am not very sure if this is the exact communication she has written to the management or you have modified it for this site. If this is the exact, then both of you will be let off the hook by a simple warning and will be asked not to express your private emotions in public. There is a very simple philosophy that is applicable in society, "If you do your private and personal things in public, anyone has the right to comment on it or take any action. All the best to you. Thanks and Regards
