Hi Tom, Warning letters are based on the clauses of the appointment letters of the employees. If an employee is absent without prior intimation in writing, then he/she is liable for disciplinary action subject to the laws or clauses. The warning letter takes reference from the same.
Hope this helps you to some extent.

Hi Rajat,
Thank you a lot for the letter. What I exactly want to write is that one of my employees is not regular in duty. He always gives me excuses for taking half-day or full-day leave. Moreover, when I ask him to fill out the leave application form, he hardly does so. Lately, he has been very irregular, and there has been no intimation call as well. Therefore, I want to send him a warning letter so that he does not repeat this behavior anymore and maintains punctuality.
However, as per the appointment letter, any employee cannot take sudden leave except for sick leave and should inform earlier if required.
Thanks

Hi, I am supposed to give a warning letter to an employee who is fond of drinking alcohol excessively. Recently, he was robbed of a company car at gunpoint, and due to his daily drinking habit, he was unable to provide an accurate statement at the police station. As a result, the company could not be compensated by the insurer because of the incorrect statement he gave to the police.
