Hi all HR professionals!

I am working in the manufacturing sector, and recently we have introduced a company-wide suggestion scheme. We have placed suggestion boxes at all main locations where employees usually gather. We announced a generous gift amount for the best suggestion as well. However, the response to the scheme is very poor.

Can anybody suggest any innovative ideas to increase the number of submissions in the suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Hi Kalyan,

Could you tell me what happens when a suggestion is used and the company saves money? Does the person(s) putting forth the suggestion get any commensurate reward? Is the person given any role in developing the suggestion, etc. It would be not a bad idea to frame a policy by which the savings would be shared by the company, the team, and the individual. Thank you, Mr. Narasimhan!

We acknowledge the receipt of the suggestion within 24 hours, and our committee will correspond with the person who has sent the suggestion within a week.

Our motto is not to link the suggestion scheme with monetary benefits; we want to emphasize non-monetary benefits.

Can you please suggest some of these kinds of benefits?
