Oracle India has a vacancy for an HR Manager based in Bangalore. The role will provide HR support to the Development Division of Oracle.
Candidates should hold a full-time postgraduate degree in HR from a reputable institute (batches 1995 to 1998). Experience with an IT company is an advantage. Candidates should be self-starters, have the ability to deal with ambiguity, be customer-focused, have attention to detail, and be good communicators.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Play an important role in leading the HR group as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the line management staff.
Act as a direct interface and Business Partner for managers and directors across the business (2000 employees), providing advice and support on People Management related questions on HR strategy, policies, procedures, and practices.
Coach and support managers in areas of organizational change, policies, and people management skills.
Provide creative solutions to meet functional, LOB, and company challenges.
Drive the rollout of approved policies, procedures, and practices.
Support and deliver HR briefing sessions on topical HR issues.
Coach with regard to people management skills, communicate and, if necessary, escalate any issues as appropriate.
Generate and present ideas and programs for continuous improvement, implement agreed HR solutions & projects. Deliver an HR service by providing HR support, communication, and guidance in line with Oracle Global and Regional policies and procedures. Ensure standard proven best practices and high-quality service for customer queries. Reinforce a positive image of the company in all initiatives. Ensure all policies, procedures, and processes are compliant with Global and Regional practices. Compile and prepare HR reports for local, regional, and corporate needs. Develop and implement programs to support the overall human resources plan in the areas of employee development, leadership interventions, and working globally. Ad hoc HR projects and change management as directed. Work as part of one HR team, ensuring full delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10 years plus significant generalist HR experience in a dynamic fast-paced commercial organization, preferably in the IT industry.
University degree (Master in HR or MBA degrees).
Good understanding of compensation policies and programs as well as market practices.
Excellent PC skills and previous experience of statistical analysis is an advantage.
Excellent English knowledge.
Self-confidence, takes initiative, is empathic & has a feeling for roles within a big, international company.
Thinks strategically, sharply, independently & creatively. Enjoys working in an innovative, ever-changing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
A team player with effective communication & interpersonal skills.
