Hi, I am from Bangalore and work for a company here that is runs in a house and not a commercial complex. It has come to my notice that employees who joined before April 2017 are eligible for 2 days leave a month which makes it 24 days excluding holidays.
And those who have joined after April 2017 get to have only 14 days a year calculated on pro-rata basis which gives 1 day a month only. There is also a rule that post confirmation on 6 months a minimum 3 days leave balance to procure 1 day leave. Which makes it o the whole 9 months to get the one day leave.
The HR policy was not shared with me at the time of joining and just recently the changes were provided. I would like to know the following.
1. The company is a service oriented company - How many leaves are eligible for a confirmed employee in General? - CL,EL and SL?
2. Are there HR policies that vary employee to employee basis?
3. Not to mention PF employer contribution is also deducted from the employee in this company?

Company must be registered under State Shops and Establishment Act.
The Act lays down leave entitlements.
Kindly refer the concerned act.
Leave cannot vary from employee to employee based on date of joining.
Deducting employer share of PF is a clear violation of PF act.
