Dear Alka Mohindru,

Your 10-word post is too short and does not provide any context. Have you raised the query for yourself, or is it on behalf of someone else? Where is the harassment happening, and who is perpetrating it? The meaning of "tenured" is "appointed for life and not subject to dismissal except for a grave crime." Do you have employees with lifetime employment?

Nature of the Harassment

What exactly is the nature of the harassment? Has anyone spoken out against it?

Legal Framework for Harassment

Your question pertains to civil law on harassment. Under the provisions of the Indian Standing Orders Act, a worker can raise a grievance against a senior for harassment. However, a grievance-handling mechanism must be established. If the company lacks a proper procedure to address grievances, there is a risk of the issue being swept under the rug.

Thanks,
