Hi, I was working with an Indian company. My notice period is one month. Due to some personal issues, I asked the managers to release me within 16 days, and for the remaining 14 days, I agreed to pay an amount from my salary. They insisted that I serve the full notice period, but I only served 16 days and then moved out of the company. I have collected documents such as resignation letters, proper handover proof, and handover proof of ID cards.
Please advise on what to do if they refuse to provide a relieving letter or terminate me after I have resigned.

Has your resignation been accepted by Management in writing? No, my resignation was not accepted by management, but I have clarified to them well in advance that it won't be possible for me to work beyond a particular date.

The company reserves the right to pay or recover in lieu of the notice period. Furthermore, the company may, at its discretion, relieve you as from the date fit even prior to the expiry of the notice period. However, if the management desires the employees to continue the employment during the notice period, the employee shall do so.

However, if they act to satisfy their ego or perversion, it will have no effect. The only situation where you may be affected is if your antecedent verification is sent to them for background verification.
