We have completed our contract work as per the contract, but the principal employer has refused to give us Form No. VI-B/completion certificate under the Contract Labour Act. The Government Labour Office has also refused to accept our application for cancellation of the Contract Labour Licence without Form No. VI-B and the release of the Security Deposit (SD).

Please advise on how I can receive our Security Deposit.

You should bring to the notice of the principal employer that he is required to give a completion certificate in terms of the rules under CLRA, and it is obligatory under the rules. However, before doing so, you should ensure that you have completed the job as per the terms and specifications in the contract.
